Welcome to my website

I’d been wanting for a while to put photos of my work in one place—not just my recent assemblages, but the quilts from 15 years ago, the paper I made last month—and a few weeks ago I found just the motivation to get it done.

Hallie Slade of SLAACK Productions contacted me through my Etsy store. SLAACK was putting together three pop-up stores for Pleasing, the lifestyle brand that Harry Styles recently founded, and they wanted to commission three big fake jello molds matching their cartoon sketch to decorate their stores. Could I do it? Of course! Did I have a website in case their marketing people wanted to give me a shout-out? Ummm…

Now I do.

Some of the artwork on this site goes back twenty years, and some goes back twenty minutes. Some is for sale (photos of those pieces are labeled “for sale” and are linked to their respective Etsy pages). Most has already been given away or sold or loved to bits here at home.

In high school someone told me that a common college admissions essay question was, “How would you describe yourself in five words?”

I had it ready to go: “I make things for people.” No college ever asked me that question, but my pithy truth has stayed with me since then.

And so now with the help of my friend Jill Kropp Manty of MantyWeb, I’ve made this site to pull it all together. I hope you enjoy it. Please be in touch and let me know what you think.
